I may be the only one online today that does...I do think that if you don't enjoy the holiday you might want to reconsider how you celebrate it. Why spend a month hating what you are doing? Makes no sense to me. I dread the weight I gain cause of all the good food I get to eat. I dread getting presents especially if they aren't something I want or need and it's something I'd just rather not have recieved.

I thoroughly enjoy the good food I get to eat! I love that I always make the time to make my potato salad which is unlike any other potato salad I've had, ever. I love wrapping presents! I love giving presents!

We celebrate by opening presents and eating too much! We spend some good quality time together, playing games, watching any new dvds, eating some more. This year we're near family again in the first time for a very long time, so we'll be driving around visiting some of them and spending time too. Then to make a day I'd rather avoid better, we take down the tree before bed!!The Serendipitous Art Therapisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09673120657277144170noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-267677755183471154.post-15740179549600687952009-11-30T12:18:22.334-08:002009-11-30T12:18:22.334-08:00I dread the driving. There's something magical about the soft glow of the candles while we recite the prayers. It's not so much about the gifts as it is our heritage...and respect for all of those who came before us, or who died in the Holocaust. We will never forget.

The girls have their own menorah, it is a chain of ladybugs. And then we have grown up menorahs!

We do not exchange gifts on every night of Hanukkah. But we do light the candles every night. On at least 2-3 of the nights we will make & enjoy a traditional Hanukkah dinner complete with latkes (potato pancakes) topped with applesauce and sour cream...and cheese blintz casserole with berry topping.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13214914707096410664noreply@blogger.com
